According to Ursula who is chairman of BDA ( British Dietetic Association ), he says that taking tryptophan which is one of basic building blocks of protein can help make your mood better. If you take fish oil, it contains omega-3, which is actually brain's food, those who don't take fish oil get more depression than  who take fish oil.

Let's come to the wheat, bread, whole grains you name it, these are primary source of slow releasing energy, this helps you prevent the blood sugar to take a deep dive which can lead to feeling of depression.
